Peer Review Process
Journal of Integrative Law Studies implements a rigorous and transparent peer review process to ensure the quality and credibility of every published article. The process involves the following stages:
Manuscript Submission
Authors submit their manuscripts through the designated journal management system.
Initial Editorial Screening
The editor conducts a preliminary assessment to ensure the manuscript fits the journal’s focus and scope and meets basic quality standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria will be rejected without further review.
Reviewer Assignment
The editor assigns at least two expert reviewers with relevant expertise to independently and anonymously evaluate the manuscript (double-blind review).
Review Process
Reviewers assess the manuscript based on originality, methodology, scientific contribution, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s focus. They provide recommendations such as:
Accept without revision
Accept with minor revisions
Accept with major revisions
Reject
Editorial Decision
The editor considers the reviewers’ feedback and makes the final decision, which may be acceptance, request for revision, or rejection.
Revision and Resubmission
If revisions are requested, authors revise the manuscript according to reviewers’ comments and resubmit it for further evaluation.
Publication
Once the manuscript is approved, the article is processed for publication in the upcoming journal issue.
The journal ensures the confidentiality of both authors’ and reviewers’ identities throughout the review process to maintain objectivity and integrity. The review process typically takes between 6 to 12 weeks, depending on the manuscript’s complexity and reviewer availability.
